In June 1967, the Six Day War broke out and one of its major consequences was the reunification of Jerusalem. In this joint Melton session, Ronnie Gotkin will examine the historical events leading up to the Six Day War and Aviva will approach this from a literary angle, presenting the way in which Israeli poets like Yehuda Amichai responded to the reunification of Jerusalem.
